100 miles! 100 bikes! 100 teams!
Together we hope to raise $1 million to send inner city kids to camp!

It is the vision of the Harold Robinson Foundation to provide a level playing field for our community's underserved children. At Camp Ubuntu, children from under-served, inner city schools & organizations get the opportunity to experience nature, play, sports, use team-work, learn goal-setting, eat nutritious food and receive mentorship from exceptional counselors. These programs are designed to strengthen confidence and independence, build character and develop leadership skills. In addition to “Camp Ubuntu” sleep away camp retreats, the Harold Robinson Foundation brings summer day camp to Markham Middle School in Watts, provides parenting classes, and other programs that help build community in a positive way.

I recently had the opportunity to be a camp counselor for the weekend and I can say with certainty that it was the best experience of my entire life. Five minutes into lunch on the first day, one of my campers told me, "This is already the best vacation I've ever had." Can you even begin to imagine how they felt during the hikes, ropes courses, team bonding games, and campfires? Being able to bound with the kids and experience Camp Ubuntu together for the first time opened my eyes in ways I couldn't have ever imagined. The acceptance, love, and empowerment that define this place are what the humanity needs more of; inspiring these values in children is the way to impact the future for the better. I truly believe that I could search the entire world and never find better people, than at Camp Ubuntu.

In support of this foundation, I am participating in the Pedal on the Pier fundraiser. Our team will ride (in place) on a stationary bike for 5 hours/ 100 miles on the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Sending these kids to camp WILL change their lives. I would be most grateful if you could support my efforts with a tax-deductible donation of ANY size.

Thank you for supporting our effort in trying to make a difference in a child's life.
