Hello friends,
I am writing you because you have dollars in your pockets and these kids really need help. It is also pretty scary how funding is going to be cut with the new administrations POV.  I don't want to get too political but it is totally F'ed up.   So these private dollars mean a lot.
I think most of you know that I am involved with LA's BEST. http://www.lasbest.org It is the After School Enrichment Program for poorest 190 schools in LA unified school districts. We serve almost 29,000 kids.  When school ends at 3, most of these kids have no where to go until a guardian comes home.  This program is what bridges that gap and brings to these kids the sports, arts, and other programs that have been cut from the budgets.  Our kids get a completely different experience.  This program is a life changing opportunity for these kids and there is incredible results.  I am so passionate about it because I have seen first hand, what they do.
So please donate.  The event is this SUNDAY so we need to do it this week.   I am so late on this!!! I have a goal of getting to $5,000.  Please help.  We are so lucky in our lives.  This charity works so hard to make LA a better place.
This also means I get on a bike a suffer.  I don't like bikes.  At all.  But I like helping kids who need us.
I really appreciate anything you can give.
Thank you,
